MODEL CAR CONTEST RULES
ARIZONA'S PREMIERE MODEL CAR CONTEST
GENERAL RULES
ENTRIES MUST BE THE SOLE WORK OF THE NAMED ENTRANT.
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE AUTOMOTIVE TYPE ONLY. No Aircraft, Military Armored Vehicles, Military Boats, or Remote Control Vehicles allowed.
REGISTRATION:
Models must be registered and all fees paid prior to being displayed on Contest Tables.
SCALES:
All entries in Classes A-1 through A-23 must be 1/24 – 1/25 SCALE.
All entries 1/26 or smaller in size will be placed only in Class A-24.
All entries 1/23 scale or larger in size will be placed only in Class A-25.
Classes A-26 through A-32 are open to any scale.
STREET LEGAL:
*Desert Scale Classic defines ‘Street Legal’ as meaning an entry must have and clearly display all equipment a full sized (1:1) vehicle would be required to have in order to be operated legally on public streets, roads, and highways. An entry must have head and tail lights, signals, windshield, windshield wipers, treaded tires, brakes, mufflers, and license plate.
DISPLAYS:
Entries may be displayed on bases not to exceed 2 inches wider and 4 inches longer than the model.
Entries displayed on larger bases, or depicting a scene, will be placed in Diorama Class A-29.
RECLASSIFYING:
The judging staff reserves the right to move entries to different classes and/or open additional classes. Decisions of the judges are final.
ELIGIBILITY:
Entries removed from contest tables prior to the Awards Ceremony, without permission of the Head Judge, will not be judged or receive any awards and entry fees will not be refunded.
PRIOR DSC WINNERS WILL BE DISPLAYED ON THE DISPLAY ONLY TABLE (A-30) AND WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR JUDGING OR AWARDS.
MEMBERS OF CACTUS CAR MODELERS CLUB ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ENTER CRITICALLY JUDGED CLASSES (A1 through A32).
MEMBERS OF THE JUDGING STAFF WHO ARE NOT CACTUS CAR MODELERS CLUB MEMBERS MAY ENTER CRITICALLY JUDGED CLASSES BUT MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN JUDGING MASTER AWARDS OR THE CLASSES IN WHICH THEY HAVE ENTRIES.
